Temperature
The adaptability and resilience of xtrEMsense® Temperature makes it the ideal candidate for challenging applications.
The sensor can produce high sensitivity measurements for temperatures in excess of 2500°C, with sensing locations able to be strategically placed along the length of the sensing structure. These sensors can be interrogated simultaneously from a single poin at the end of the line, which can be positioned safely away from the harsh environments.
The design is highly customisable, allowing seamless integration into virtually any form factor. Our distributed sensing technique eliminates traditional wiring arrays, providing a clean, robust solution for complex thermal monitoring challenges. xtrEMsense® is made to measure the blanket I-beam and divertor which are located at the very heart of a fusion reactor.
Magnetics
xtrEMsense® Magnetics is our advanced high-temperature, radiation-tolerant magnetic field sensor, engineered to meet the most demanding sensing challenges.
Developed as a part of a fusion reactor diagnostic system, the sensor is designed to monitor the powerful magnetic fields that control plasma behaviour. By capturing magnetic field characteristics, xtrEMsense® provides essential insights into plasma shape and position.
Our sensor is uniquely capable of delivering high-sensitivity magnetic field measurements while maintaining consistent performance in environments characterized by extreme heat and intense radiation loads. This allows for continuous, reliable monitoring where traditional magnetic sensors would fail.
